MobLand is an upcoming American crime drama television series created by Ronan Bennett, who will write the entire series. The series began as The Donovans, an origin story for Showtime’s Ray Donovan series, following the Donovan family, but as development progressed, it was remade into a standalone story. Guy Ritchie was brought in to direct several episodes of the series. The series stars Tom Hardy as Harry, a fixer for the Harrigan family led by Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan.<\/p>\n

MobLand was first announced in February 2024 as a spin-off series called The Donovans, based on the Showtime series Ray Donovan, which aims to tell the origin story of the Donovan family. The series is created by Ronan Bennett, who will also write and executive produce. Guy Ritchie will direct several episodes and executive produce the series alongside David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, David Hutkin, Ivan Atkinson, Keith Cox, Nina L. Diaz, Jez Butterworth, Kris Thykier, Tom Hardy, and Dean Baker.<\/p>\n

As the series continued, it was remade into a standalone series in October 2024, using the working titles The Associate and Fixer. In February 2025, it was revealed that the series had received its final title, MobLand, and had moved from Showtime to Paramount. The series was produced by MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios. Production on the series began in November 2024 in London. Filming closed down part of the Isle of Dogs in East London, and during production, a bag of camera equipment was stolen from the set during the day. The thieves returned and successfully stole more equipment, leading to the dismissal and replacement of the security team on set.<\/p>\n
