Wild Things 2 (2004)

Wild Things 2 is a 2004 erotic horror film directed by Jack Perez, starring Susan Ward, Leila Arcieri, Isaiah Washington, and Linden Ashby. It is a standalone sequel to Wild Things (1998) and the second installment in the Wild Things series.
Brittney Havers, a high school senior in South Florida, lives with her wealthy but cruel stepfather, Niles Dunlap, after her mother ran her car off the curb in “Gator Alley” and was supposedly eaten by an alligator a year earlier. When Dunlap dies in a private plane crash, he will require Brittney to receive a small allowance until she finishes college, after which she will receive only $25,000 a year from the estate. The remainder of Dunlap’s estate, totaling $70 million, will be left to a corporate trust unless a biological heir is found.
Brittney is threatened at home by Cuban gambler Cicatriz, to whom Dunlap owes millions of dollars. Maya King, a brash and impoverished classmate, suddenly claims to be Dunlap’s illegitimate child due to her mother’s infidelity. She is ordered by a judge to undergo a DNA test, which proves it.
At home, Brittney sees a news report that Cicatriz has been arrested and decides to celebrate. She hears a noise on her way to the wine cellar, but it turns out to be a rat. Maya suddenly appears and the two girls reveal that they were lovers before meeting Dr. Julian Haynes, who falsified the DNA test results. The trio conspires to commit a scam to seize and divide Dunlap’s fortune.
Insurance investigator Terence Bridge, investigating the plane crash, discovers from Dunlap’s medical records that Dunlap suffered from scarlet fever as a child, one of the complications of which can cause infertility, and asks Haynes how Dunlap could have fathered a child. Haynes worries about the plot being exposed and contacts Maya. He agrees to meet her and Brittney that night at the pier, where Maya shoots him dead. The two girls dump his body in Gator Alley.
Bridge knows the entire affair was planned and tries to expose the murder, but is fired for failing to provide evidence. After finding some of Haynes’ blood, he shows up at Dunlap’s house and demands half the money in exchange for not calling the police. Brittney, desperate to hand over any money, pulls a gun on Bridge, but kills Maya instead. She tells Bridge that he must earn his half. He loaded Maya’s body into the trunk of his car and they drove away.
When they stopped at a traffic light, Brittney got out of the car and walked away as a police car pulled up behind them. Bridge could do nothing but drive away as the light turned green and the police car honked its horn to signal him to move. Brittney anonymously called in a tip that Maya’s body was in Bridge’s trunk; he was soon arrested and jailed. A recording from the Dunlap home security system showed Bridge demanding half of the inheritance from Brittney and Maya.
Brittney then flew off on a private jet with a still-alive Dunlap, who had faked his own death not only to escape Cicatriz but also to avoid prosecution for embezzling millions of dollars in company funds to pay off gambling debts. Brittney and Dunlap took to the skies, planning to parachute into the swamp and disappear together. As he prepares to parachute, she reveals that she stuffed his parachute with newspapers and pushed him out of the plane to his death. She then parachutes out, landing safely in the swamp, where her mother, also alive, is waiting for her on a swamp boat.
It is revealed that Brittney and her mother staged the entire thing, including the deaths of Brittney’s accomplices, to steal the Dunlap fortune, and they relax in the sun on a tropical island. Brittney walks down the stairs of their oceanfront mansion with two drinks and hands one to her mother. Brittney watches intently, as her mother takes a sip and remarks that the drink is quite strong. Brittney responds with a wry smile, “They make it really strong here, don’t they?”
