28 Years Later (2025) First Trailer

“28 Years Later” is an upcoming post-apocalyptic horror film scheduled for release on June 20, 2025. Directed by Danny Boyle and written by Alex Garland, the film serves as the first installment in a new trilogy, continuing the story established by “28 Days Later” (2002) and “28 Weeks Later” (2007).

The story opens 28 years after an outbreak of a rage virus that has devastated the global population. A group of survivors have formed a quarantined community on the island of Lindisfarne, off the coast of England. The story revolves around a young boy named Spike, played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who embarks on a dangerous journey beyond the confines of the island to seek medical help for his ailing mother. The quest takes the boy across a desolate and infected mainland, where he encounters new threats and discovers disturbing truths about the world beyond his sheltered existence.

C “28 Years Later” (2025) has been announced or officially confirmed for release in 2025. There has been much speculation and fan interest about a third installment in the 28 Days Later series, following the successful films 28 Days Later (2002) and 28 Weeks Later (2007), but the filmmakers or studio have yet to reveal any concrete plans for 28 Years Later.

The 28 Days Later series, known for its unique take on the zombie apocalypse genre with the Rage virus, remains popular and fans are eagerly awaiting news of a sequel.
