Hocus Pocus 3 (2025) – First Trailer

As of March 2025, “Hocus Pocus 3” is currently in development, with Disney officially confirming the project in June 2023.
The film will serve as the third installment in the beloved franchise that began with the original “Hocus Pocus” in 1993 and was followed by a sequel in 2022.

The original film introduced audiences to the Sanderson Sisters—Winifred, Sarah, and Mary—portrayed by Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy, respectively. These 17th-century witches were resurrected in modern-day Salem, Massachusetts, leading to comedic and supernatural escapades. The sequel, released nearly three decades later, reunited the trio for another adventure, garnering significant viewership on Disney+.
In interviews following the sequel’s release, the lead actresses expressed enthusiasm about reprising their roles. Midler conveyed her desire to continue the story, stating, “I’d love to have a franchise—especially a character I love playing.” Parker also showed interest, mentioning the possibility of an animated continuation as a “smart idea.”

As of October 2023, screenwriter Jen D’Angelo revealed that the creative team was actively developing the story for “Hocus Pocus 3,” exploring various directions and new characters.
While specific plot details remain under wraps, the film is expected to delve deeper into the lore of the Sanderson Sisters and introduce fresh elements to the series.
Given the production timeline, a release date has yet to be announced. However, fans can anticipate the film’s premiere on Disney+, continuing the platform’s tradition of delivering exclusive content to its subscribers.
As audiences await the next chapter in this enchanting saga, the enduring appeal of the Sanderson Sisters continues to captivate both longtime fans and new viewers alike.
